About Steve

Steve Schwartz is the founder of Alfa Jango, co-founder and former CTO of Genomenon, co-founder and former CTO of Carcode (acquired by Edmunds.com in 2014), engineer, software developer, and open-source software author.

A runaway Mechanical / Electrical Engineer turned Hacker, Steve has been founding, developing, and advising software startups and building technical teams for nearly two decades.

Most recently, Steve co-founded and built Genomenon from an idea to 150 employees across the US and Europe. Genomenon has raised over $30 million in funding and acquired Boston Genetics in 2023.

Steve has also authored and maintained open source software with hundreds of millions of downloads.

Today, Steve invests in startups, advises founders, and speaks professionally on technical startups, software development, and Artificial Intelligence.
